Regional Conference
September 2024
AMA Annual Regional Conference is a staple of the University of South Florida AMA Chapter,
an opportunity for students with Marketing-related career intention to seek mentorship and connection
as well as learning from industry professionals in the Tampa Bay area.
Goals and purposes
To provide members with an exemplary opportunity for professional development, networking, and recognition of accomplishments
from the chapter’s operating year, AMA at USF has decided to host our annual Regional Conference this year, featuring multiple local businesses and professionals
in the Tampa Bay Area. Another goal for our chapter specifically is to improve or maintain overall ranking from 2024’s placement in the top five
and achieve a minimum of 50 attendees at the Regional Conference by the end of the event, with at least 20% not being AMA USF members.
Some more specific goals for this conference:
Feature at least 20 speakers at the Regional Conference, including keynote speakers and panelists, to cover a diverse range of marketing topics.
Host three competitions during the Regional Conference with at least 10 participants in each competition.
Secure at least three sponsors for the Regional Conference, with a minimum total value of $1,500 by the event date.
Design elements
The event logo is designed to symbolize the connection between students and professionals by merging two distinct fonts.
This typographic choice not only aligns with the event’s theme of building bridges but also evokes a professional tone.
For the color palette, I incorporated two primary colors from the AMA brand guidelines and two from USF's branding,
blending both identities to highlight the chapter’s unique presence.
Additionally, the brand identity features dynamic shapes resembling starbursts and fireworks, symbolizing the vibrant energy and excitement we aim to bring to the event.
Special event: Speed Connect
On October 11th, from 2:00 to 3:30 PM, the USF American Marketing Association, in partnership with the Bellini Center for Talent Development
and the Muma College of Business Alumni Advisory Board, invites you to an exclusive opportunity
to connect with 12 corporate leaders from the Tampa Bay area. Held in the Muma College of Business Atrium,
this event offers an intimate, speed-dating style format where groups of students will rotate between tables, engaging in dynamic conversations
with Tampa executives about critical workforce challenges.
From securing positions and leveraging professional networks to managing burnout, you’ll gain valuable insights from experienced professionals in the field.
